I choose DEATH!

First off, we need to all understand that patients and families who choose hospice care rather than acute care are not choosing death. They are, quite literally, choosing to live; To live with their ailments for as long as they can as comfortably as they can. Sometimes putting up a fight against an illness isn’t what you want. Maybe you just want to go home and watch some netflix with your cat. That’s “purr”fectly fine and possible with hospice care.

Welcome to the Hotel California

“You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!”. Hospice care isn’t a permanent decision. Meaning, you can always change you mind. If you decide you do want to fight your illness, you can call your doctor and he or she can get you switched over to some kind of acute care. It is never too late to change your mind!
